Performance Goals for "Spider Crawl Jam"

Quick Start for the Left Hand

Practice "Spider Crawl Jam" until you can answer "yes" to the following questions:

• *Are you holding the guitar correctly, using the classical position?
• Is your guitar tuned correctly?
• Are you using correct right-hand fingers and form to play downstrokes with the pick?
• Are you playing correct frets with proper left-hand fingers and form?
• Are you playing with a steady beat (without pausing), no matter how slowly you play?

*Reminder: You will use classical position for your next assessment. For the remainder of the course you may use the position of your choice.

When you have accomplished the performance goals for "Spider Crawl Jam," you will then be ready to complete your assignment for this lesson.
