The E Dominant Seventh Chord (E7)
Now we will learn to play the E dominant seventh chord:
- The E7 chord uses all six strings.
- Your second finger will hold down the fifth string on the second fret.
- Your first finger will hold down the third string, on the first fret.
- Strings 6, 4, 2, and 1 will all be played as open strings.
- Practice strumming the E7 chord using your choice of strum techniques (thumb sweep, brush strum, pick strum). Strum with a steady beat, striving for a beautiful sound.
