E Major Chord Experiment No. 1

Experiment by moving the E major chord shape to various locations up and down the neck of the guitar. The following study has a traditional Spanish sound. Play downstrokes using a brush strum:

• Strum four times on the E major chord.
  
• Move the E major chord shape up thefretboard to the next fret and strum four more times.
  
• Move the chord shape two more frets up the fretboard and strum four more times.
  
• Move the chord shape back two frets (to the previous location) and strum four more times.
  
• Move the chord shape back to its original position and strum one more time.
  
• Allow the sound to fade away gradually.
