E Major Chord Experiment No. 2
The next study has more of a popular sound. Play downstrokes using a guitar pick:
- Strum the E major chord four times.
- Move the chord shape up the neck five frets, so that your first finger is playing on the sixth fret, and your second and third fingers are playing on the seventh fret. Strum four times.
- Move the chord shape up the neck two more frets, so that your first finger is playing on the eighth fret, and your second and third fingers are playing on the ninth fret. Strum four times.
- Move the chord shape back down the neck to the previous chord, so that your first finger is playing on the sixth fret, and your second and third fingers are playing on the seventh fret. Strum four times.
- Move the chord shape down the neck to the original position and strum one more time.
Allow the sound to fade away gradually. Close-up video demonstration with chord diagram representations
