Collaboration Constructive Criticism Form
The goal of constructive criticism is to provide positive feedback that will help someone improve, not tear them down.
- What did your classmate do very well for this collaboration? Provide specific details.
Example: Jay, you really paid attention to me while I was playing - and slowed down when I needed it. That made it much easier to play my part!
- Where did you think they can improve? Provide specific details.
Example: Tom, I noticed that you struggled a little playing the scales, I suggest focusing more of your practice sessions on scales.
- Did they follow all of the assessment guidelines? Provide specific details.
Example: Gina, you completed both parts of the song and would probably pass now, but if you practice the second part a little more I think you'll really impress everyone!
- What is one thing that you learned from reviewing your classmate’s assessment? Provide specific details.
Example: David, I had always been afraid to play in front of someone, but your encouraging feedback really inspired me to play a song for my friends!
- Rate your classmate’s guitar technique on a scale of 1-5 (one being the lowest and 5 being the highest). Explain why you gave them this rating.
Example: In terms of guitar technique, I would give Denise a 3. Although his performance was very well done and hand positioning was very good, he should sit up straighter in his chair to perform the best.
