Collaboration Constructive Criticism Form

The goal of constructive criticism is to provide positive feedback that will help someone improve, not tear them down.

  1. What did your classmate do very well for this collaboration? Provide specific details.
Example: Jay, you really paid attention to me while I was playing - and slowed down when I needed it. That made it much easier to play my part!

  2. Where did you think they can improve? Provide specific details.
Example: Tom, I noticed that you struggled a little playing the scales, I suggest focusing more of your practice sessions on scales.

  3. Did they follow all of the assessment guidelines? Provide specific details.
Example: Gina, you completed both parts of the song and would probably pass now, but if you practice the second part a little more I think you'll really impress everyone!

  4. What is one thing that you learned from reviewing your classmate’s assessment? Provide specific details.
Example: David, I had always been afraid to play in front of someone, but your encouraging feedback really inspired me to play a song for my friends!

  5. Rate your classmate’s guitar technique on a scale of 1-5 (one being the lowest and 5 being the highest).  Explain why you gave them this rating.
Example: In terms of guitar technique, I would give Denise a 3.  Although his performance was very well done and hand positioning was very good, he should sit up straighter in his chair to perform the best.
